Accessibility Statement

1. How you should be able to use this site

We aim for you to be able to:

• change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or operating-system settings
• zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen
• navigate most of the website using a keyboard only
• navigate most of the website using a screen reader (for example NVDA, VoiceOver or TalkBack)
• use the contact form with a keyboard, including choosing whether you are an employer, agency or worker

We have also designed the site so that motion is reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.

2. How accessible this website is

This is a static marketing website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA where practical. We have not commissioned a full independent audit, so we do not claim full conformance. We treat accessibility as an ongoing duty under the Equality Act 2010, not a one-off tick.

If you find a problem that is not listed in this statement, tell us. Please include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using if you know it. We will investigate and tell you what we can change.

5. Enforcement

This is a private-sector website. The Equality Act 2010 still applies: we must not discriminate against disabled people in the way we provide this service. The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is the regulator for equality law in Great Britain.

If you are not happy with how we respond to an accessibility complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service, or take advice about your rights under the Equality Act 2010. The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to this site as a legal duty, but we still use WCAG 2.2 AA as our practical standard.

6. Technical information

northfield.services is built as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Pages use semantic headings, labelled form controls, visible focus, and skip-friendly primary navigation. Accordion controls expose expanded/collapsed state. Hidden contact-form panels stay hidden until you choose an audience, so unused fields are not submitted.

7. What we have done

• Readable contrast on body text against the chalk background, with brass used as an accent rather than the only way to tell meaning
• Keyboard-accessible navigation, including a mobile menu that exposes expanded state
• Meaningful alternative text on photographs and logo images
• Form labels tied to controls, and a privacy acknowledgement before submit
• No CSS transform on ancestors of form controls, so native select menus remain usable

8. Known limitations

• This site loads the Sora typeface from Google Fonts. That is a third-party request. If you block it, the page still works with a system font. See the Cookie Notice.
• Photographs are decorative or contextual. They are not a substitute for the text.
• We do not currently embed maps, video players or booking widgets. If we add them, we will note any accessibility limits here.
• Older browsers without modern CSS may show a simpler layout. We support current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, and the latest iOS and Android browsers.

9. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 19 August 2026. It is based on a self-assessment of the static pages on this site, including structure, forms, navigation and contrast. It will be reviewed when we make a material change to the site, and at least once a year.

10. Changes

We may update this statement when the site, our suppliers or the law change. The date at the top of this page will change when we do.
